athersgeo: Darth Vader meets Riverdance (Wednesdays)
It's almost not worth doing a post for March - I don't know who or what ate the month but it's gone and with it any hopes of doing much reading.

BUT, in the interests of keeping up with my resolution...
March's Book and Thort )

March's totals:
Books completed: 1
Books unfinished: 2 (these are the two left over from February)
Rereads: 0

April's Target: to actually read more than one book (!) and to finish off the two from February (!!)

February's List and Thorts )

February's Totals:
Books completed: 7
Books unfinished: 2
Rereads: 1

Didn't quite hit the target (which was 10 books completed), but pretty close, I feel.

March's Target: 12 books completed.

Going to do this a little differently; rather than just list what I've read, I'm also going to record what I thought about it so that I can keep a record - and use that to figure out whether I want to keep stuff.

Well.

That's the theory at any rate...

January's List )

January's totals:
Books completed: 7
Books unfinished: 1
Rereads: 0*

*Assuming that reading a familiar book in a new language doesn't count as a re-read.

February's target: 10 new books completed

A little late - but meh. April's rather snuck up on me.
What I Did Read )

As I'm extremely unlikely to add another complete book to this list, here 'tis...

What I Did Read )

All in all, a pretty varied selection - and *ALMOST* a "book" a day, which is not bad going, considering I only tend to read for an hour (while in the bath!) during the week. (Weekends are different!)

Well, like so many other folks, I thought I'd start keeping a track of what I read and when and, more to the point, making a real effort to actually pick up a book and read - something I haven't been doing a lot of in the last few years (unless you count repeatedly re-reading the same fifteen CS/SW:RS books!).

This particular list actually runs from Dec. 25th, rather than the 1st of Jan, just to be tidy.

What I Did Read )

Also, a question for those of you who've been doing this a while: Do you think my assorted OU essays should count as part of my reading list, or does reading done for academic purposes not count?
