athersgeoWell, as I mentioned at the beginning of November, I wasn't actually doing the whole "write 50,000 words in one month" thing, but I did have several goals in mind for the month and, seeing as the month's now over, it's time to actually see how I did. Or didn't...
1) Five by Five
*blush* Still a part away from being done. I'm having difficulty in getting all the loose ends together in my head so that I can write them down. I did, at least, get part eight up. That's got to count for SOMETHING. Surely?
2) Dreams of the Sun
I'm into part 2 of this (yay!) For any passing CBBers interested, I'm hoping to get a nice, big, long installment of this done tomorrowish.
3) The Freak
Didn't get a start on it in terms of actually writing it, but I HAVE got the plot mostly nailed down and hammered into place.
4) Shadow Games
Well, I'm into rewriting the climax, at long last. I've also managed to breach 80,000 words. I'm still a good five chapters from being done (and that presupposes I don't add in any more random chapters!) though.
So if I haven't been doing all that, what HAVE I been doing?
1) Francie
This is beginning to take on a life of its own. My plan is for the story to run the course of between one and two full school years (yes, I am nuts); it WILL involve another crack at rewriting Redheads (after writing Shadow Games, that should be a walk in the park!) and I have no idea how long it's going to take me to write.
2) The Brothers Series
It started out as one story (Brothers in Arms). It's now turned into a Douglas Adams' type trilogy (it has four parts, not three - and may yet spring a fifth...)
3) Mommy
It's a weird little thing that I haven't yet decided what I'm going to do with it. It's also rather depressing...
4) Open University
OK. Not so much on the fun side; I had an assignment due in this week, which has meant quite a bit of my time's been concentrated on that.
5) WLHC
Club secretaries never rest, apparently...
6) Work
Which has been nuts. Either nothing at all, or everything done by yesterday (and that doesn't look like it's going to be changing any time soon, either *sigh*)
If I can squeak the time in what's left of this week, I'm planning to finish off the Brothers series and try to wrap up at least a chapter of Shadow Games (in addition to writing that chunk of Dreams of the Sun). I will also make another attempt with part nine of Five by Five.
CBBers waiting for the next chunk of Francie will have to wait until probably Sunday, by which time I'll have fully reminded myself of the details... ;)
