The Chalet School fanfiction Award nominations are in...and four of my assorted works have been nominated. After a few days of feeling decidedly under appreciated and waste of space-ish, this was just the sort of thing I needed. Many thank yous to whoever it was that nominated me.

"I Promise" (which is up at ff.net) is nominated for "Most Handkerchiefs Required"

The rest of them aren't up at ff.net (but the awards site has links to where they are up):
"Mary-Lou and the Phantom Umbrella" (funniest)
"Margot Takes a Stand" (also up for the hankie award)
"Francie" (best development of an EBD [canon] character)

Skimmed a few; great stuff! Would've enjoyed it more, though, if I'd had an idea what the fandom was about. :-) Right now, I'm imagining a cross between Enid Blyton's Malory Towers and St. Trinian's. *grins*

Actually, that's not QUITE as far from the truth as you'd think. Though the staff are FAR better behaved at the Chalet School than at St Trinians, one or two of the girls...um...aren't necessarily. And as for the inmates of the CBB...we're all completely barking...!
