Gah.

What a horrible, horrible day.

I just thank my stars I had a back spasm yesterday, otherwise I could have crowned a truly sucky day with umpiring.

(Yes, being pleased I had a back spasm is a new - and hopefully singular - experience.)

Still. I have mustered a few high points today, several of which have come courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] cmar_wingnut who has done me some very nice screen caps of Crouching Waiter Hidden Chef (there's at least three of them that are pure drool material!) and which has enabled me to put together a pretty decent update for Strictly Southworth. (Shameless plug: http://www33.brinkster.com/southworth/) And [livejournal.com profile] antigone_ks did do her best to try and direct my homicidal rage in an outwards direction, while [livejournal.com profile] aspartaimee who attempted to make use of my homicidal rage - thank you both :)

Also, thank you to [livejournal.com profile] ganeris - who probably got a little more than she bargained for when she asked me what was wrong...

*huggles to you all*

And thank every and any deity you care to name that today is over. Tomorrow HAS to be better...

So far, today has been better. Given by this point yesterday I'd already been reduced to steaming rage, that's GOTTA be an improvement!

Very sorry to hear you had such a terrible day! Dare I ask what happened?

Big hugs oxoxo

*hugs back in return*

Thank you. The short form of it is that one of our clients all but called me an imbecilic waste of space. The kicker? 95% of what he was talking about should actually have been aimed at two of his subordinates (who were CC'd onto the email - I was the main recipient).

I know how you feel - years ago I was fired from a job (I suspect for reasons having little to do with me) and my supervisor, not content with letting me go, told me I was so stupid she couldn't believe I had gone to college.

Some people just love to blast the nearest and most convenient target when something goes wrong, justified or not. And of course, even when you know the insult is complete and utter garbage, it still makes you mad.

*nodding* Yup. Though in this case, you would have thought the nearer targets would have been his two co-workers, rather than blasting me. *shakes head* Mercifully today, had nothing to do with him whatsoever and everything was by far and away better.
