No, it's not snowing. It's June and this is Bristol - we don't do snow at the best of times, and June is not those! I just wish it WAS snowing, because then I wouldn't be doing the melty thing. It's hot here. (For those of you reading this in either continental Europe or continental USA, no, that's probably not your definition of hot; I suspect today's temp is no more than 80F - the fact remains: No a/c and our office is directly underneath a tin roof. Nuff said...)

As for the slow part...I have some odds and ends I can accomplish workwise. Otherwise I'm actually getting paid for writing Shadow Games. Cool ne? (at least, metaphorically cool...) All of which should (provided the heat doesn't send me to sleep, which it did last Monday) mean that I get chapter twenty finished this afternoon and with a little luck, get chapter twenty-one started.

I guess, if I get *really* lucky, I may even get to chapter twenty-two, but that rather presupposes I get no work come in this afternoon.

You're lucky - I'm swamped at work, and would rather be writing.

80F is hot to you?? But I see your point about no AC and a tin roof, not the ideal conditions by any means. Hope the weather will cool down.

Temperature's all relative - I've been to the Dead Sea and wandered around quite happily in 100F (and higher) without really feeling it, where as some of the time, Bristol just needs to hit the low 70s for it to start feeling like an oven. The main difference is the humidity - Bristol is hideously humid.

Having just looked at the five day forecast for this neck of the woods, it is supposed to get cooler. But as it's also supposed to rain, that means the humidity's going to get worse. Ugh.

Having been in Bristol on a hot day (and stuck in the Hippodrome), I sympathise! luckily it hasn't been too bad here - until about 4pm!

I love the way you get so much writing done in work! Actually, I just love the way you get so much writing done! ;)

Ow ow ow! Stuck in the Hippodrome is about the worst place to be in Bristol on a hot day! Ow! (Well, anywhere in the city centre is pretty bad - it's the effect of the ring of hills - but the Hippodrome...*shudders*)

As far as writing while at work goes, I try to make as much use of free time I have - and if I'm hacking away at a keyboard my boss thinks I'm keeping busy... *grin*
