OK. Admission time: I am a Bon Jovi fan. Nay, in fact, I am probably just about a BJ fangrrl. (OK, I kinda retired from being THAT much of an obsessive, but I am sitting here in a BJ t-shirt with a BJ calendar on the wall and at least four BJ cds lying around here...so judge for yourself.)

Last summer, they were on tour over here. They did a bunch of shows at the end of their European tour and I was lucky enough to be able to go to the concert at Old Trafford in Manchester. Had a truly great time and the concert was fabulous (the trip back to the YHA where I was staying the night was LESS fabulous but I put that down to the Manchester authorities not putting on enough extra Metrolink trains).

Well, I've just flicked my calendar over to June and lo and behold, the photograph is from the Old Trafford concert. Just out of idle curiosity, I had a look to see if I could spot myself in the crowd.

And the hysterical thing is...? I can! I am just about visible behind the cowboy-hat-wearing idiot.

70,000 people were at that concert and I can spot myself. This tells you:
1) How close to the front I actually was
2) I am really a very sad individual who badly needs a new hobby...

*grinning* To be fair, if I hadn't pointed me out to my parents they wouldn't have known it was me, either.
