Client has a website designed by one person, built by us. Designer of site is heavily into using things like iframes. Designer (on the basis of work so far) is not so big on being able to write decent, working, functional code.

Guess who has to fix the designer's problems.

Ugh.

I wanna be writing!

That's it. I am determined that Bandit Country is going to be a smash hit best seller. Then I can jack this job in, write full time and not have to deal with imbecils.

Yup.

That's what I'm going to do!

Clients - such a headache. This one sounds like a total pain. Bad enough to have to fix bugs in your own code, but someone else's...

Try: boss who keeps buying the latest and greatest gizmo, then expects computer support (us) to make it actually work.

Slightly different side of a not dissimilar coin.

Ouch.

Thank heavens my boss is resistive of new technology (she's only just stopped using Netscape 4.7 for day-to-day testing!)

Yeah, nice not to get it from your boss, at least (to be fair, ours is very nice about it). Good luck with the site. And who knows, maybe in a year or two you'll be writing full time.
