Well, like so many other folks, I thought I'd start keeping a track of what I read and when and, more to the point, making a real effort to actually pick up a book and read - something I haven't been doing a lot of in the last few years (unless you count repeatedly re-reading the same fifteen CS/SW:RS books!).

This particular list actually runs from Dec. 25th, rather than the 1st of Jan, just to be tidy.

Titles in grey have been started but not yet finished.
* indicates a re-read

Storm Warning - Jim Butcher
Fool Moon - Jim Butcher
Grave Peril - Jim Butcher
Summer Knight - Jim Butcher
These are the first four books in the Dresden Files series. I'm now awaiting my next batch!
Wolverine Origins vol 1-3 (issues 1-15) - various authors and artists
I suppose I could have counted each volume as one "book" but a graphic novel doesn't take a massive amount of reading...
Borrowed Time - Roy Hattersley
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series - Michael Stackpole & Aaron Allston *
There's nine books in the series; I think at some point in the last month, I've probably picked up and read a chunk of every one!
Chudleigh Hold - EBD *
Taking My Chances - Monty Panesar
Star Wars: Death Star - Michael Reaves & Steve Perry
Green Rider - Kristen Britain *
This is a technical re-read - in that I've read it before - but it was a good ten years ago and I'd forgotten a great deal about the plot
First Rider's Call - Kristen Britain
The High King's Tomb - Kristen Britain

Not bad going, I feel.

Also, a question for those of you who've been doing this a while: Do you think my assorted OU essays should count as part of my reading list, or does reading done for academic purposes not count?

I'd include the uni books too.

And most of my booklist for January is made up of the Dresden Files as well, although I'm at the end of the currently published ones. :( I want the next one!

*grins* I have the rest of the series on order from Amazon but it won't be with me until March which is when one of the books is published here (either published full stop or published in paperback - I'm not entirely sure). They are insanely addictive, though.

I probably won't include the text books as they're not really things you sit and read (except possibly at revision time!), but the essays and the set readings might need to count!

Thank you :)
