1) After the stress and, yes, blind panic over my TMA, I got the mark back today. 86% - which is (just barely!) an A. Go me :) His complaint this time was that I could have gone into more detail about the characters and who they were. And he thought the commentary was wonderful. Heh. That part was probably an even bigger work of fiction than the actual story! So, no abject failure. At least, not on that part...

2) From a story I've just read: "He went down like a sack of wet mice."
