athersgeoIt has been a long and rather trying week. I would very, VERY much love to tie up one or two of my clients in a sack and them drop them off a tall cliff or a into a fast flowing river - the crowning glory of the week being the clusterfuck that has been this afternoon. Suffice to say, it's been bad enough that it's reduced my boss to a state of utter militancy...which, for my boss, is VERY unusual!
On the upside, I now have a nice, long weekend ahead of me and (providing nothing comes up) I have the week off as well and I mean to spend that time getting on top of everything that's been neglected in the last two months. This does mean there's going to be a very, very long list (which I'm going to cut), but for those who want to skip the details, I will say this up front:
1) I am going to finish Mistletoe and Wine this weekend.
2) I'm going to do a major site update on the Identiverse website in an effort to get as much of the site up and running as I can.
It is, as I said, a loooong list. There's a lot of stuff that I've just been putting off and putting off. There's also a lot of stuff that I've been procrastinating over. I'm hoping that this week will let me get a good lot of it done. I'm also hoping to catch up a little bit on my sleep in the hopes of getting myself back to the position of getting up for the gym (being still up at 1am does NOT aid that endevour one little bit!), so it's not exactly going to be a "kick back and relax" week. On the other hand, if I do get all that lot done, I'll be able to breath a lot more easily as it won't all be still hanging over me.
In other news...well there is no other news. I'm still waiting to hear back from GGB (I know they're busy and I know it can take a while so I'm not exactly surprised - on the other hand, they've had the sample for just about three weeks now!) and the deadline for the TMA I was so stressing over yesterday is midnight tonight so that's another thing I'm not likely to hear back about in the immediate future.
I guess I've just got to try and be patient.
And who knows, maybe if I can emmerse myself in the stuff on the list, I can forget the nervous anticipation of utter failure for a while.........

- Mistletoe and Wine - There's just two or three installments left so the aim is to get them finished off this weekend
- Estranged - I want to get chapter 3 finished and, if possible chapter 4 well started
- Soaring Eagle - I want to try and get an installment (or two) done so that I can get this wrapped up this side of the sun going supernova!
- The Truth in the Lie - this is the first of my big HL rewrites so it would be nice to get it properly spec'd out if not actually started
- Hide and Seek - the rewrite is about two chapters from being finished; I know what has to happen in those two chapters so...
- Editing:
- Mike - Needs a heavy overhaul before I can post it to the ID'verse site
- A Thousand Years - Need to give it a once over before posting
- Road to Uruk - Ditto
- Mercy to Forgive - Ditto
- Rocky's Bad Day - Ditto
- Family - Ditto
- A Wish For Death - Ditto
- Freya's Daughter - I still need to finish editing this; I also want to write up a standard query letter and really put some effort into schlepping it around agents and publishers
- Arts:
- Banner images for the Highlander, Other Fandoms and M.A.S.K. sections of the Id'verse website
- Format up the next batch of stories for the ID'verse site and post
- OU - Get stuck into the Poetry section
- Cleaning & Tidying:
- Gym stuff
- Bedroom
- Mind Body Spirit
- Bathroom
- Upstairs desk
- Car [the annoying thing is, I only washed it last weekend; sadly, either I've been paint bombed or there's some VERY incontinent seagulls around here...]

- Deal with the photographs stored on the camera - Liss, Xan, I haven't forgotten that I promised you copies of a couple from Hannah's dedication!
- Deal with the duck and bank as appropriate
- Book the car in for a service
- Find current car insurance certificate
- Post book
