Writing Exercise - Prompt 1

They didn't even care that the Earth had exploded. They just carried on partying as if nothing had changed. Susie couldn't quite manage to comprehend how they could do that. Their entire home was gone and yet all these people were interested in was when or how they were going to get their next drink. It made her sick.
True, none of them had ever seen Earth; they had all grown up on Alpha Centauri Prime. But still; it was the mother planet and one day she'd hoped to go there and visit - see the places where her family had come from and see some of the historic sites she'd only so far read about.
But it was now too late.
Sol had turned supernova and Earth was no more.
