The good news: I have a voice again. It returned during the course of yesterday afternoon/evening - though, amusingly, I started to say to my dad that I thought it was back and, natch, I got about two words into the sentence and it quit again! (And the rotten so-and-so laughed. *sigh* So nice to get sympathy..........)
The not quite so good news: I didn't sleep that well last night. In fact, I don't think I managed more than two hours in a stretch, and virtually none at all from 4am onwards. I had been intending to get a little more this morning, but the cats had other ideas.
The verging-on-the-bad news: This morning, the cats decided they were going to argue about which one of them got to play 'nurse the human' (our cats know when one of us is sick and they will then do their best to make us feel better; of course, this is NOT always terribly helpful, but like everything, it's the thought that counts!). This wouldn't have been too much of a problem, except that when our cats argue, teeth, claws and feline bad language tend to be employed. And even THAT wouldn't have been too much of an issue, except that they chose the end of my bed as the ideal terratory to conduct that argument...
Why yes, I *WOULD* be considering roast cat for lunch...
The bad news: I'm well enough now to be bored out of my skin. All I was really good for yesterday was watching a couple of DVDs, but I want to try and do something more than that today. If I can. Just to try and prevent brain rot from setting in.
So there you go. That's me.
Hope everyone else is doing OK - I would offer hugs for the misc. hug piles that seem to be going round, but as much as I love giving presents, I don't really want to share this particular bug! About the one good thing with it is it seems to be going as quickly as it came.
