So. CBB Gather this weekend. I've been blocking majorly on a bedtime drabble, given the prompts. I finally came up with a rather sketchy something over the weekend which, if all else fails, I'll contribute, but I'd like to produce a proper story.
And this morning, I thought I'd got the perfect idea.
It's now written.
It's too bloody long.
And not just too long in the sense that tweaking page margins will fix the problem. No. It's a whole page and a half too long!
And that's even without two of the sodding prompts too.
AGH!

I think, though, I may just have had yet another idea for a bedtime drabble. And this one might just work out the right length this time!

Date: 2006-09-07 01:38 pm (UTC)If you're really stuck on length, it's amazing how much space you can save by tweaking linespacing and kerning *g*
Of course, if you send the original now, we'll all know it's yours from the length!

Date: 2006-09-07 01:40 pm (UTC)*makes mental note to play with kerning and linespacing should the current idea develop major legs*
Thanks for the bunny food, though :)

Date: 2006-09-07 02:24 pm (UTC)However, there is a limit to the number of times you can run the same piece of script and get the same unsolveable error... *grin*
(Hope the work's going OK, though - and hope this morning went well)

Date: 2006-09-07 03:22 pm (UTC)I will say that this afternoon, I have learned a great deal about the geography of the Middle East. Of course, it is debatable whether I *WANTED* to know the geography of the Middle East in the detail whereby I can now point to Damascus on an unmarked map (I wish I was kidding...)...still; they do say you should try and learn one new thing each day!
