Of Writing, Weekends and Roman Hygene...

Well, the weekend was spectacularly fine in most respects. It's always good to see folks *waves to everyone* and demonstrating that I have arguably the most random trivia stacked away in my head (David Bryant, anyone?) is always fun - in a totally omgihavenolife sort of way. The only fly in the proverbial ointment would be my spectacular inability to avoid getting lost on the way from the M4 to the PF. There is one junction on Mortlake Road that I think I approached from every single different direction possible (some of them twice). And NONE of this was helped by both MapQuest AND my parents' A-to-Z insisting there was a roundabout where there just wasn't.
*sigh*
I also got to see Saturday night television for the first time since...well probably the last time I semi-gathered and I'm further reminded why I *don't* normally watch it. Casualty was entertaining (granted, I was probably MORE entertained by working out the locations, mais plus a change mais plus reste le meme chose), as was the talent contest (though I AM given to wonder how in the world one of the contestants actually got on the show in the first place [yes, that would be the woman who got kicked off]) but that lottery show...
*boggle*
*boggles again*
*boggles a third time*
I think I'll stick to Q-Planes - which at least had a modicum of intelligence to it - even it was exceedingly British! (Oh Squeenie? Perchance may I borrow that sometime?)
So from that to writing, where I've finally got What It Takes off the ground, up and sprinting for the finish line (part 1's half written; part 2's half written and yes, part 3's half written too!); in addition, I have the germ of a bunny idea for a requested First Impression; also, I have my prompt for the Friendship Ficathon which has given me two bunnies, one of which will be Identiverse related. (Yes, this would be the first completely new thing I've written in that in over a year [I don't count finishing Five by Five back in January, since that'd been hanging around over a year!])
And from that to this, namely my latest OU TMA, which demands my opinion on Roman bathing habits. I'm hoping that I'm going to be able to do rather better with this one than I managed with my last one (only got 60 - oops). So I probably ought to go do that now.
(Yes; I'm at home today - I'm wallsitting. No, don't ask.)
