So. How 'bout that storm then... I don't know what the weather's been doing over night where you guys are, but here, it started thundering at 3:30am. It wasn't too bad until about twenty to five, when it became apparent that I really just WASN'T going to get any more sleep since the lightning was flashing almost constantly. Having decided that I wasn't going to turn the PC on first thing, I thought "Right, gonna just have a nice little lie in and get up at 6am."

Hahahaha. Yeah.

No.

At 5am there was the loudest thunder crack I'd ever heard. I should think the lightning probably struck ground no more than about a mile from home (the lightning and the thunder came at pretty much the same time). Just after that, I heard my father remonstrating with a cat (who was being particularly braindead and refusing to come in [he was heading off to work]), so I got up. And literally as I was going down the stairs, there was another absolutely monstrous clap of thunder and a lightning strike that was probably about a mile away, in the other direction!

Good times.

Needless to state, I gave up on that lie in, rescued the cat (who promptly went and hid under the sofa!) and used my laptop to watch a DVD [having unplugged it from the mains]. While outside the storms raged.

I should think our house was pretty much at the centre of about five or six different storms.

And then, just as if we hadn't already had enough bad weather tossed our way, when I came out of the gym, it started to absolutely pour down - to the point where I *literally* could barely see more than a foot in front of me as I drove to work.

Bleh.

Looking out of the window now, it looks a lot less threatening, but it's still grey and overcast.

At least the thunder's stopped now.

I hope!

Also: Sekrit message for [livejournal.com profile] freespirit127 - wth's the deal with dinosaur boy?! Is that your revenge for me turning down salt hating blue goop and thawed out Aztecs?

We had pouring rain but no sign of thunder or lightening. Was still tipping down when I got up, but the sun is shining now.

Eeeeeep! That wasn't supposed to go on the DVD... *blushes* Apparently the dinosaur snuck past me while I was doing the copy.

*laugh* Oops; and yet, you wrote it down on the episode list so... ;)

Not to worry. The next time I need a really, REALLY good giggle (as opposed to just wanting to letch at Buddy [I watched Ultimate Weapon and Magama Mole]), I know what to use *grin*
