Ugh

It's a HORRIBLE day here. It's blowing a gale and raining, hard. Yuck. I umpired and we ended up calling the match off fifteen minutes early because neither I nor my colleague could see (and, plus it was getting v.dangerous from the point of view of people being able to hold their sticks/keep their footing). My team weren't too thrilled with it, but it was a case of "sorry, but if I can't see and my colleague can't see, we can't control the match and that makes it dangerous" (didn't add that my colleague's umpiring was bad enough without her literally not being able to see...though I might raise that at training if I get any call back!). Got into the changing rooms took my top layer of clothing off and it sat there and created a small puddle. Thank heavens for carrying spare clothes in the car boot!

On the upside, I did get a free massage after play (not gonna pass THAT up, now am I?!), so I shouldn't stiffen up too much this afternoon.

Oh, and my foot's bruised again. Nuts.

Ah well. I'm home now. I don't have to set foot outside again this weekend - and that's prolly just as well, listening to the wind!
