Boredom strikes again: I've just read the ingredients list on my prawn-and-egg sandwich. Now, most of these are fairly sane - like the ingredients in the bread and the egg mayonaise. But, at the bottom of the list...

"Prawns contain: Prawn, Water, Salt"

Well, they could have preservatives or artificial colors or something that people are allergic to

I suppose - but it still, frankly, looks weird.

And surely if you were alergic (or likely to be alergic) to prawns, you wouldn't be even investigating a prawn sandwich.

But if you were allergic to preservatives, then you'd want to know whether there were any on the prawns, no?

If I was alergic to the preservatives, I'd probably still give a prawn sandwich a miss because, frankly, the prawns going into a cheap sandwich are probably full of preservatives anyway - whether it says so or not. Why risk it?

Good point. (Of course, in my case, I'd be worried they'd be buttering the prawns, but that's a whole other story...)
