It's the whole "white text on a black background thing" - I find that excruciatingly difficult to read for long periods of time (I was reading the site for about fifteen/twenty minutes and admiring the way it's been put together so far - and I was probably seeing phantom text for another ten/fifteen minutes afterwards).
As a web designer, I know black text on white gets boring after a while (oh GOD does it get boring!), but it's a lot easier to read!
Even just changing the font colour from white to, perhaps, a pale grey would make all the difference. Of course, there's no point in messing with it if I'm the only person who has a problem.
My problem, essentially, is that it's too much contrast. (I also found the red links difficult to read against the black - but I'm figuring they'll eventually vanish)
Red links are only there cause, as many websites as I've made in the past, I'm still a web graphics idiot, and have yet to figure out the best color to use there that's not already being used elsewhere.
