Good Lord!

So. The office fridge was accidentally left slightly open over the weekend, which means that yesterday, it had started to defrost. Not having the equipment to finish the job (to say nothing of requiring to finish a load of programming!), I left it for today.

And My God.

When I tried to open the freezer compartment first thing, I couldn't! The ice was THAT thick...

That was two hours ago. Now my bucket is full of ice, my washing up bowl is slowly filling with water, I've unearthed an ice cube tray I doubt either me or my boss has seen in two years (!) and there is *STILL* two inches of ice sitting on the under-side of the freezer compartment.

Jeeze, we're slobs in this office...

Having said that; it's the perfect job for a hot day!

*grins* You're a bit late; all that's left now is the bucket of ice that I collected, which is now sitting in front of my desk fan as pseudo a/c...

hah, awesome... I'm basking under the fan on its highest setting... hopefully the b/f will be able to swing by and help me with the A/C today.

*crosses fingers* I have both windows wide open (in addition to my mock a/c) and I suspect by 4pm, I'm going to be dying in here. (The office has a tin roof blech)

You presumably mean *apart* from the now ex bucket of ice?... ;) Fortunately, I have plenty to drink, and while the ice is now departed, the water is still freezing, so I've still got my pseudo a/c going!

(I was right, though, tis getting murderously hot in here... blech - though on the upside, only another hour to go)
