I've been in work since 7am (this means no gym trip - which means I'm on my third heat patch for my back). This has enabled me to sign off two out of the six tasks for the day.

I think it's a touch optimistic to think I'm going to get all six done, but it's nice to get two out of the way. I'm now just taking a fifteen minute break before attacking task number three.

In writing news, I'm 300 words from having a finished first draft of the sci-fi story (go me). Nice to know I *can* get stuff finished inside a tight deadline - pity I can't seem to manage it on certain other things.

It's going to be another busy weekend ahead, so there'll be an inevitable to do list popping up shortly - it'll probably get added to over the course of the day, but it'll be a start.

Whether I go swimming tonight depends on whether or not I go shopping with the maternal unit - and also how tired I am by 7pm. Currently, it's not looking so good on that front...

*hugs* Hope the back is much better soon.

Are they the self-adhesive heat patches? 'cos I've just had a slightly nasty experience with one of those.

They are - from Nurofen. I've not had any problems with them. What happened to you?

It wasn't from nurofen, and the heat bit was fine. It was just when I removed it, pulling it gently and it didn't feel 'pully' like a plaster just came off easily, it decided to take some patches of skin with it - leaving me with little raw bits *ouch ouch ouch when my clothes touched them* that have now gone scabby-blistery.

I did - and owowowowowowowowow! That's nasty.

The trouble with the Nurofen patches is getting them to stay stuck! Once the skin warms up enough, the adhesive stops sticking *grin*
