The Good, The Bad and The I'm Going to Kick Someone's Ass...

First, the good: *TOUCH WOOD* email and firewall seems to have finally cleared over the weekend, so the last of the missing and delayed emails should have arrived where they were going and all should be back to normal. *TOUCH WOOD*

Second, the bad: I'm running on four hours' sleep, thanks to cold feet when I went to bed. (I can't sleep if my feet are cold.)

Third, the "I'm going to kick someone's ass": The heating appears to be broken in here. This means that the room is absolutely freezing. I mean "I can see my own breath" cold.

W.T.F.

We have two storage heaters. As far as I can see, not only have they not been on (at all) over the weekend (how in the world is that a good idea?!) they are now utterly stone cold, which means even if they come on during the day, I'm not going to feel any benefit to it whatsoever until tomorrow!

Grah.

Not going to be a fun day.

As far as writing goes, assuming (!hah!) that everything has settled down again, I will try and get myself back on track this week. In particular, I really do want to try and get the Highlander stuff refreshed and tidied up because it might just provoke me into finally being able to finish that particular saga - which would be extremely nice. We'll see how it goes...

*hugs back* Thanks hon :) I have the spare heater beside me so I'm not utterly frozen now - turns out there's no heating whatsoever (beyond spare heaters!) in any of the upstairs offices, so at least it's not just me!

Not so much left the heat off, as it turns out, as "heat's broken up here". Fortunately, the downstairs areas (where there are actually pipes and such) have had heating all weekend. Plus, it would have to chill down to below the sort of temperatures you're stuck with before we'd actually have trouble with internal pipes (thankfully!)

But I second the use of the word idiot!
