FINALLY SOMEONE WITH SOME FUCKING BRAINS! I think A at our hosters may just be my new favourite person. He did, rather unfortunately, cop for a little bit of the wrong side of my tongue, but it looks as if we're back in business. Of course, I've now got to wade through four hours' worth of accumulated junk email, but it looks as if we're fixed and sorted.

It looks as if some cunt has been using our server for attempted spam and/or DDS attacks. Either that, or one of our clients (and I know which one) has a problem with their mail-out system.

I'm leaning towards the DDS attack theory myself - seeing as the mail-out system is verging on two years old and has worked fine (with no problems) up until the beginning of this week.


If I never have to mention "firewall" to anyone else again, it'll be too soon...
