I hope everyone had a good day yesterday, I certainly did :) The Bother and I managed not to argue, at all - must be the first Christmas THAT happened! - and everything was rather peaceful. Everybody got what they wanted, which was also good :)
Yesterday was, by the by, the second aniversary of this journal. Yep; I've managed to keep scrawling something in here for two whole years. Go me. As journal/diary adventures go, this is now second only to the diary I kept between the age of 13 and 16 - though a lot less full of the emotional debris of my general life, largely because there is a lot less emotional debris to make a note of (and I don't want to bore you!).
On the presents front, I did make off rather well, though the selection of presents was dominated by the five set texts I need for my next OU course! OK, maybe not the traditional idea of a Christmas present, they were things that I wanted, so it's all good. Said presents also included a new polar fleece (to replace the one that I've more or less killed) and, most amusingly, a t-shirt from
freespirit127 with the perfect Rogue Squadron design on, proclaiming me to be (as I am!) Wedge's Fangirl :) Thank you :)
So, things to do today.
1) Avoid killing my father. This may be tricky. It's only 9am and I've already been asked moronic questions about what I'm doing (why it's any of his business is anyone's guess) and had chunks of the paper read out to me (if I was interested I would read the bloody thing myself). There's a whole two days of holiday to go *wimper*
2) Possibly go to B&Q to buy paint and a standard lamp for my bedroom (this is dependant on someone else driving, since my car's in the drive and hemmed in by two others!, and mum's somewhat anti going today as she thinks it'll be busy).
3) Write a nice huge chunk of Mistletoe and Wine - since I want to get to Christmas day BEFORE the end of the year.
4) Do those tweaks and fixes to part 10 of Five by Five so that it's all ready to post at the end of the week.
