Of Snow, OU and Dougie Brown
Nov. 28th, 2005 07:27 pmA few quickie points...
And now for Dougie Brown. Who he, I hear you ask. He is a cricketer - and a sometime acquaintenace of mine in the days when I was regularly attending Warwickshire CCC matches - who plies his trade for Warwickshire. He's an amiable Scot and a very nice guy and now, apparently, a TV star.
There's a new commercial for KFC bargain buckets. In it, a brave soul hosting a children's birthday party (to judge by the number of kids!) arrives home with one. The whole thing's based on emphasising a lot of food and drink for not quite so much.
And amusingly? If it's not Dougie fighting off the children, I'm a monkey's uncle and he has one scarily identical twin.
- It's snowing/sleeting here. Yech. I briefly had to drive through near white-out on my way home. Ugh. On the other hand, it's just that shade too warm for it to pitch, so this is good.
- I've just registered for my next OU course "Exploring The Classical World". For anyone interested, the OU blurb for the course can be found here
- The cough is finally on the wane - though strong smells (particularly cigarette smoke) are still setting me off and I can still feel it sitting on my chest if I breath too deeply.
