Oct. 21st, 2005 11:45 pmGacked from several people - and cut, cos it's long...
1. Name someone with the same birthday as you.
Beethoven, I believe. Andy Flintoff was born on the date I was due (I was ten days late).
2. Where was your first kiss?
In the Steam Rock, in Bristol.
3.Have you ever seriously vandalised someone else's property?
Well, I *did* once write something on the wall of the ladies' loos at Filton College. Actually, two somethings. One was:
Little fly, upon the wall
Please get down, before you fall
Can't you see, that wall's been plastered?
Now you're stuck you...stupid little fly.
The other (because the doors WERE rather a long way off the floor (I'm talking a good foot and a half!): Beware of the limbo dancers.
4.Have you ever hit someone of the opposite sex?
I've repeatedly threatened them. (I also used to assault my bother - but that was when we were little kids; he's bigger than me now)
5.Have you ever sung in front of a large number of people?
Yes. Several times. The most was probably 500 people. It was a charity talent show, at school, and virtually every single member of the school attended. The most boring was singing in front of David Bellamy (don't ask). The hardest was singing "Gloria" in a school carol concert - the chorus line for that is "Most highly favoured lady - Gloria". Those of us naughty and in the choir, modified that to "Most highly flavoured gravy".......
6.What's the first thing you notice about the preferred sex?
Hands. Got to have nice hands.
7.What really turns you on?
Ummmm - pass. Next!
8.What do you order at Starbucks?
Anything that is a combination of one or more of the following: Coffee, chocolate, whipped cream and caramel.
9.What was your biggest mistake?
Doing Maths A-Level and then trying to stick Salford out for two years - I should have caught the hint when I had to re-sit first year exams.
10.Have you ever hurt yourself on purpose?
Unless you count playing in goal when I knew I was injured (which I've probably done too many times), no.
11.Say something totally random about yourself.
I'm currently wearing two fleeces and a t-shirt, and I'm STILL cold.
12. Has anyone ever said you looked like a celebrity?
Well, I *did* pass myself off as Madonna - but that was more that I'd picked up some of her physical manerisms than any real resemblance. (OK f'list, you can STOP laughing now...)
13.Do you still watch kiddy movies or tv shows?
Ummmmm, I write fanfic for Power Rangers. I think that would be a yes.
14.Did you have braces?
Regretably, yes. I swear they're the reason I have so many tooth issues now.
15.Are you comfortable with your height?
I could do with an extra inch or two in the torso area (I have the legs of someone who's 5'8" and the body of someone who's 5'5". Why yes, this DOES give me trouble when buying clothes...)
16. What is the most romantic thing someone of your preferred sex has done for you?
It's a toss up between bought me a hangover cure and seen me into a taxi because he didn't want me walking home alone through one of the roughest bits of Salford. Not the same guy on each occasion.
17. When do you know it's love?
When six years later, you still catch yourself wondering what he's up to and if you ever stood a chance with him. (don't ask)
18. Do you speak any other languages?
French and German - alegedly. I haven't had any practice with either of them in several years, though...which does make me nervous, considering I'm going to Germany in a week's time!
19. Have you ever been to a tanning salon?
Nope. If I want to look like a lobster, I'll just play rounders *sheepishgrin*
20. What magazines do you read?
None - unless someone points out a particular article or I'm waiting in the dentist's
21.Have you ever ridden in a limo?
Yes. Not a stretch one, though.
22. Has anyone you were really close to passed away?
My grandfathers. One died right before I started my GCSE mocks (in fact, the funeral was on the day the mocks started - the school were extremely understanding, though), the other died just about two years ago. That was probably harder; Granddad had lived with us for as long as I can remember - and even now, I half expect him to walk through the kitchen and help himself to bread...
23. Do you watch MTV ?
Not any more. I used to, though. Back in the days when it was MTV Europe and they were bound to play all sorts of stuff from all over the continent. Got to love Die Totten Hosen (yeah, that does translate to what you're thinking), Army of Lovers and getting to be tortured by the Macarena a full year before it reached the charts here!
24. What's something that really annoys you?
Cyclists attempting to use my car to commit suicide and bad writers (which is not limited to the fanbrat variety, either!)
25. What's something you really like?
Music. Bon Jovi. Cricket. Finishing a story!
26. Do you like Michael Jackson?
Uh, no. Not over keen on most of the music and I'm very, very not keen on the man.
27. Can you dance?
Ballet, tap and little bit of jazz/modern... Oh, wait; you mean on a dance floor. No.
28. What's the latest you have ever stayed up?
Ever? Umm. Excuse me while I work it out *counts* I got up at 7am, did 9-5pm in university, packed, caught the 1am bus to Heathrow, caught the 12pm flight to LA, didn't sleep on the flight (or in the coach, to speak of), arrived in LA at about 7pm...and then had to navigate for mum, who was driving the hire-car. I think it boils down to about 48 hours. I was asleep before I was fully in bed!
30. Have you ever been rushed by an ambulance into the emergency room?
Yes. Though it wasn't so much rushed as carefully driven - I wasn't in a life threatening condition. I've also had to call an ambulance for other people. Twice. (Which is twice too many times in my estimation...)
31. Do you actually read these when other people fill them out?
Yep
