Just wondering: What was the deal with what happened to Caamas? There's hints and references to it in a few places in the pilot books. Was it ever explained? If so, in which book and is it worth buying?

Nothing I've seen has that. It would be an imperial or Old Republic era novel, and I haven't read any of those. (Or much in the way of Star Wars since they started doing the Depressing Jedi Order)

Looking at the links below, it's in the Hand of Thrawn duology that it all gets explained, which is post Endor (and probably post Endor by about six or seven years - though my timeline's hazy!) and pre NJO. Given the books are written by Timothy Zahn, they're probably decent.

I do think it tells you but I cannot for the life of me remember which books tell you! (I read them all about 6/7 years ago!)
What do you know already about Caamas? It might jog the old memory!!

Basically, what I know is what's set up in "I, Jedi", which is that the world was immoliated at around about the end of the Clone Wars. It's referred to a few times elsewhere in the Rogue Squadron books.

I thought it might have been some chemical disaster that wiped out the planet... I think there is some parallell drawn between this and the Vuzung Vong or whatever they're called... I can email my ex bf and ask him if you like!
