Well, I'm back. [livejournal.com profile] weird_bird is minus an entire path, some crazypaving and two gatepost squirrels (*whistles innocently and hides the lump-hammer behind her back*), AND the living room plaster's mostly been sealed (though I only helped with some of that). I have a nasty blister at the base of my right middle finger (which is making typing a little interesting!) and the strained muscles that say "You've spent your weekend using a sledge hammer" (which would be a fair assessment!), but it was muchly fun.

And there WAS the whole Buffy sing-a-long/bad-eighties moviethon that kicked it off on Friday night and some Mexican food to die for.

Not sure Megan knows quite what to make of me, though!

For anyone waiting for me to comment on the cricket...you'll have to wait until close of play today before I render ANY thoughts on that subject!

Annnnnnd lastly, I have a new (potential) WIP, based around the whole idea of rewriting one of the bad movies we watched on Friday. I'd start now, but I do have some work-type stuff to do first.

Sounds like you enjoyed the sledgehammer! (now why can't I type that word without baaaad music running through my brain!)

Know what you mean about the cricket, haven't dared look today.

Well, as a Peter Gabriel fan, I don't mind the 'bad' music ;) And yes, I did enjoy the sledgehammering. I'm also willing to hire myself out, if you need a qualified sledgehammerer (at least, I am once I regain the hammer from Kathye!)

I've been looking. It's nailbiting. Still, tis lunch now and we're still batting, which is a positive thing...

Suppose if we hang on in, then the rain won't be as necessary cos won't we still draw the match if either Aus don't get in, or we don't get them out in time?

Yup - we will; but I can't *quite* see us batting out the two remaining sessions, and as the scores stand, the target's just too low for the Australians not to get it (we're only ahead by 133 and we've lost 5 wickets, including Mr Flintoff - though Kevin Peterson's still in).

It's going to be a looooooong and nervous afternoon!

Glad you had a good time and avoided car-content investigation ;)

Work-type stuff surely comes after other writing? *g*

*grins* Well, I've got to get stuff finished before the boss returns tomorrow. And since I didn't do it Friday, got to do it today (unless I'm planning on taking it home tonight - and I'd rather NOT!)

On the upside, I'm nearly done, though :)
