...we love it.

Except that I have yet to see an Australian wicket - they keep happening while I'm out of the room!

On the other hand, I'll take that for hearing an Australian say "I don't think we'll make 50!"

OK, I know it's only Twenty-Twenty and not an important match, but... If you're English, you have to enjoy every moment of Australian mysery that can be dished up

And, on a related note, Go Jon Lewis - hometown lad making his international debut, against Australia...and taking 4 or 5 wickets. Gough'll get the headlines but I'm chuffed for Lewie. He's come along way from the lad who bugged me for yoghurt...

*chuckles* Looks like it was a fun match to watch as long as you were English. Ponting summed it up rather nicely with "Well I don't think WE had too much fun out there!" (though I did like Michael Vaughn's comment "I lasted one ball and just waved my hands about in the field!").

Yeah but this is not surprising from an England captian known at school as Vaughan the Prawn!!

And I didn't think I knew anyone else who went to school with a member of the cricket team!

Nonono - I didn't go to school with Lewie (would have been clever since I went to a girl's school and despite the haircut, I can assure you there's nothing female about his anatomy*!); I used to work at the County Ground here in Bristol and got paid for serving lunch in the player's dining room. Within about three days of me getting the job on a regular basis, Lewie (and Chris Taylor and one or two other worthies now ex-Glos) realised I was the person to hassle if the dining room fridge was out of yoghurt!

*Haven't seen it terribly close up; but I did get to see him in a towel on more than one occasion...
