Plans, Plans, Plans...

athersgeoI realise there's a whole load of new folks reading my journal now than there were this time last year *waves to the CBB'ers* who probaby read the last post and went "huh" at the last part. There's also a lot of folks reading this journal wondering exactly when I'm going to get off my duff and finish certain pieces of fanfic *waves to the CBB'ers and the assorted PR fans reading*. There might even be some folks who're interested to know what I'm going to be up to next. So...here goes:
Shadow Games:
I've spent much of the last year and a bit writing an original novel, with a view to publication. Its name is Shadow Games and I've now got it to the point where I think it's just about ready to submit. As for what it's about: Shadow Games is about fighting for your life and realising that the world is a lot more complicated than you thought. It's about finding where you really belong. Above all, it's about a disk, it's about the woman and child who have it, it's about the man who's willing to help them and the man who wants it back at any cost.
Works in Progress:
Five by Five - No, I haven't forgotten this. I know what's got to happen. I have the last part all written and ready for posting. I just need to find the time/energy to actually write it. (I know I've been saying that for months. I really will do it. Promise.)
Soaring Eagle - No, I haven't forgotten about this, either. I swear, I will get this finished before Christmas (!), but I'm not going to promise a timescale.
And these, I think, will be my final PR stories. I've moved on and no matter how much I might want to carry on, I just haven't got the interest/inspiration.
Elektra - No, I haven't forgotten this. I'm hoping to get this one finished over the summer, once my OU course finishes.
Francie - No, I haven't forgotten this EITHER (I am also aware I need to reformat it after the big CBB move). I do have a new part almost ready for posting. It might EVEN make it up this weekend!
Dreams of the Sun - Um...I don't think anyone was terribly interested in this one - and I'm horribly stuck with it. I think I'm just going to let Prunella have this.
Mike - No I really haven't forgotten this. It's in much the same boat as Five by Five, really - I know what happens, I just need to write it. I will be trying to get this done before the end of the month.
Future Works:
Hidden Lies - This is book two in the trilogy (series?) that Shadow Games starts. I'm still plotting it out and figuring out how it's all going to slot together, but I have a villain for it now and an amusing scene for the opening chapter.
???? - Book three of the trilogy. I don't have even a working title for this, but I do know what the main thrust of the plot is and I have got one heck of a plot twist ready *evilgrin*
"Angel One" - It's a working title for a fantasy/sci-fi story (novel?) that I'm currently plotting out. It's a new idea, so I don't know where this one's going to go (it's the plot bunny I mentioned earlier), but I'll keep you posted on what happens.
"Thicker Than Water" - A very, very working title for a teen/adult romance story. It's about a third written at this point (it started life as back story for a piece of fanfic [which is where the working title comes from] and then took on a complete life of its own), but as I need to go back and rewrite it a little to remove the fandom references, it's on hold for now.
So, that's my fic life. Think that's enough to keep me busy?
