Batton passed by [livejournal.com profile] pim2005

1) Total number of films you own on DVD/video: Ummmm *pauses* *counts* *gives up* I have no idea. Somewhere in the region of 200.

2) The last film I bought: Ladies in Lavender and Behind Enemy Lines (bought them both tonight, in fact!)

3) The last film I watched: Oh gawp...must have been Lethal (it's a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad, hysterically so in fact, film that I watched while I was in NYC), though I'm planning to watch Ladies in Lavender tonight.

4) Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me:

i) Star Wars (all six films) - Huge part of my life, these films; from long summers spent memorising Return of the Jedi to seeing Attack of the Clones on opening night in, of all places, St Andrews; from reading Revenge of the Sith on the flight back from NYC to watching A New Hope in company with [livejournal.com profile] ganeris and Carrie last September and getting to discect the whole universe that night. Much, much, much fun :)

ii) X-Men - As a long time Wolverine fan, my socks were duly knocked well off when I saw Hugh Jackman. Great, great movie.

iii) Labyrinth - This was another movie that I spent long summers memorising (to the point that I can and will quote this film at the drop of a hat); it's just a fun, fun film and so childfriendly, too.

iv) Sliding Doors - it's a unique idea and it's so well done

v) Ghost Rock - It's not the best film in the world; the script could use work ([livejournal.com profile] ganeris you can stop laughing now, honest ;)) but it's the first film that I've seen that Dan Southworth's had a major role in and it IS a good role.

5) Which five people are you passing the baton onto? And why?
i) [livejournal.com profile] ganeris because she has a really wide taste in films
ii) [livejournal.com profile] angel_negra because I think she will have some fun stuff in hers
iii) [livejournal.com profile] vikkik because I think she'll have some fun stuff in hers too
iv) [livejournal.com profile] weirdweb because I *know* she's got some fun stuff in her collection
v) [livejournal.com profile] cmar_wingnut to see what's in her collection.

You own 200 films?! Yargh. You could start your own rental business.

I can see I should check out Labyrinth, it sounds fun. Concurrence on the Star Wars films, and X-Men. Sliding Doors - while I didn't like it as much as you obviously did, it really is a unique idea.

Ghost Rock - err, ummm, well? Maybe if I could just edit out the Dan Southworth bits into a separate movie?

And I caught your baton...

Labyrinth is most definitely fun. It's silly and literal and funny and with David Bowie and Jim Henson puppets.

Sliding Doors does have its bad points, but I liked it and it's one of the few movies that still makes me cry over the ending - even though I know it's going to happen.

Ghost Rock...what can I say; it's a movie that's special to me *grin*

Can't wait to see what you come up with :)
