You mean I'm not the only one???!!! God, I HATE that feature! End up on the verge of screaming every time I try to use it for my Christmas cards.

For Christmas cards is one thing. I discovered yesterday that it's picky over file names. Despite Word permitting you to save files with just about ANYTHING in the names! That, after spenting three, frustrating hours trying to work out just why it wasn't doing what even the Word help said it should be able to do!!!
