OK. November is NaNoWriMo.

No, I haven't officially signed up for it. (What do you think I am; nuts?!!) But, what I AM planning on doing is using November to try and get myself going again. So, here's the plan...

1) Five by Five
Yeah; I'm kinda embarrassed that it's still not done. I'm only about a part and a half from BEING done. *headdesk* Next week, I am going to have a really, really strong push to try and get that part and a half dealt with.

2) Dreams of the Sun
This is one of my CBB drabbles. The actual scope of it is huge (so I ain't gonna get it done in one month), but I would like to get onto the next section of it.

3) The Freak
This is my teenage/high school romance novel idea. I would like to get a really good start on it. (If you like, this is the story I aim to get 50,000 words written on by the end of November.)

4) Shadow Games
I want to get on to the rewriting of the climax. With a bit of luck, some elbow grease (and NOT spending most of my weekend asleep) I should be able to do that this week, which should mean, I get pretty much done on editing by the end of the month.

And to keep a track of how I'm doing; daily updates will be posted (probably just a one liner type thing).

What about "MY" story? Huh?

Errrrr... If you're talking about a PR/SG1 crossover, you've got me confused with Mandi (which is flattering from my point of view, but not sure she'd be so keen!). If not, I'm *really* puzzled...

Oops ...

Yep, I did confuse you with Mandi. Sorry.

Excuse my utter ignorance, but what's NaNoWriMo?

Write a novel in November - not sure entirely how NaNoWriMo comes into being, though *grin*

Holy crap, a whole novel in one month? Don't expect much, do they?

50,000 words. It's fewer than 2000 words a day, so it's not a completely impossible task. The whole idea being to get you writing and so what if a lot of it's not terribly good. It's mostly an exercise in discipline.

They're explicitly going for quantity, not especially quality. :-) The challenge is, you start on Nov. 1 and turn in 50,000 words by midnight (local time) on November 30. It's to get people to WRITE, just that.

Actually not a bad idea, I need to get going again myself. Don't know if I'd sign up officially either, though.

Yeah, same here. I'd fear I wouldn't find the time each day. I write enough as it is at my own pace ... and besides, just going by word count alone, I've already completed a few novels! :-) ("Casting Stones" at over 75,000 words took me 6 months. Wonder how I did it then ...)
