Cold Feet...
Jan. 24th, 2007 02:58 pmThank you to everyone yesterday for the hugs and good wishes. I'm now (mostly) OK, though I'm still a little sore and my appetite is still a little limited. At least I made it in to work today (this is a Good Thing - I was beginning to metaphorically, at least, climb the walls in general boredom...not that I had the attention span [or energy] to do much!).
Actually, my main problem today has been (VERY) cold feet. We haven't had any snow here (thank every deity you care to believe in on that score; Bristolians + snow = total chaos), but good *GRIEF* it's cold...or at least, that's what my feet are telling me!
(OK; yes, and my hands, and, in fact, the rest of me - seeing as I've been sitting in gloves and a thick woolly cardigan all day...)
Other than that, I don't have a great deal of news to report...
...well, there is one thing. Being pegged out on the sofa's been a good excuse to watch an excess of Star Trek episodes (DS9, mainly, but also some TNG). The fun thing is that it's a show I can watch without getting a sudden influx of plot bunnies. On the downside, though, in the few places that there are really decent mysteries set up (and I'm thinking, specifically, of 'Whispers' from DS9's second season)...and I know all the answers already cos I've seen the episodes before. Dang.
Ah well. I was quite a regular watcher of the show back in the day...
Hey ho. Back to work...
