1) Our mailserver is being a beotch
2) I've split the lining of my brand new skirt
3) I'm only in the office until 1:45pm; I hadn't planned on coming back, but if said mailserver continues being a beotch, I might well have to.
4) I have earache
5) Courtesy of aforementioned beotch, I've already been in the office half an hour - and no, I don't get to be paid overtime.

I don't think there's a way this day can actually get any worse, short of all our clients ringing up to tell me "hey, there's a problem with the email".

My copy of Demon Hunter arrived this morning. It IS rather tempting to turn on the boss' new 'puter, pop it in the DVD drive and watch it. Unfortunately, I don't really have the time for it...

...scrub that. They have fight scene rehersals on there.

'Scuse me...MUST go boot up boss' new PC!

ETA

OK. Been good. Didn't watch the spoilery special features, or, heck, even the actual film. Did watch the fight special feature though. Mucho fun. No Dan - except probably as a wire tugger - but lots of Mitch.

I can *so* see me starting a Mitch Gould website at this point. I think I'm almost more looking forward to seeing this than I am the Selena Incident - which, considering Dan's role in this is liable to be on the small side and he is (I think) staring in SI, is rather surprising. I admit it. I'm a Mitch fangirl.

What can I say? Guys who know how to fake a punch get me every time...

Son of ETA

(Can you tell I am bored out of my tree here?!)
I've just IMDB'd the stunt crew for Demon Hunter. Each and every one of 'em is ex Power Rangers, most of 'em are ex Buffy/Angel and, amusingly, one of them plays the other 'drone' in Molar Ice Cap...which would be Dan's episode of VIP.

I'm seriously amused now.

(And yes, I am aware that this entry makes no sense to anyone but a tiny minority of folks reading this.)

...are a pain in the arse.

I really do not want to go to this meeting. I've no idea what I'm going to be able to contribute and I shall feel conspicuous to say the least. I've already had at least four people in the office building goggle at me as if I was some kind of odd creature just because I'm wearing a skirt today.

*whimper*

And with the mailserver still apt to be tetchy (two reboots today and counting), I'm sure it would be better if I was here this afternoon.

Ugh.

And has anyone thought how essentially tautologic it is to say spineless jellyfish?

Film Review

Well; I've now seen Demon Hunter and, since I can't do a full review of it for Strictly Southworth (the whole point of my review there being to concentrate on Mr Southworth's contribution to the movie...which is marginally more than I was expecting, but only by virtue of the scene being rather long...), I'm going to review it here.

Two things though:
1) If this film interests you, bear in mind it's Region 1 only at the moment (thank you Amazon.com!), so unless you're in Region 1 or have a multiregion DVD player, you may be out of luck.
2) It's unrated, but on the basis of having watched it, I'd pin it at somewhere around a 15/18 UK (15 for the violence, 18 for the sex) or a US R.

With That Said...On To A Story of Angels, Demons and Sex... )

So that was my weekend...
