Start The Day As You Mean To Go On...
Jan. 31st, 2006 05:42 amThe first player of the game starts with the topic of "5 Guilty Pleasures" and people who get tagged need to write an LJ entry about 5 Guilty Pleasures as well as state this rule clearly. In the end you need to choose 5 people to be tagged and list their names.
1 - Junk Food.
There are reasons why I'm dieting rather strictly. I cannot do 'moderation' with junk food. Especially the sugary sort. It was OK (ish) when I was in university and the only hot meal of the day I was having was a McD's (they pay you and feed you - I call that the best kind of student job!) because I was invariably working it off by all the exercise I got (walking to/from campus; walking to/from work etc) Unfortunately, I carried that on when I got home and started working in a very sedentry office job. Ooops...
2 - Puzzle Pirates.
It's an online game. It's hellishly addictive. And apart from when you end up in the middle of a crew war (don't ask), it's great fun. AND, all the games are (as the name suggests) puzzle games. Even the sword fighting! Oh, the hours I've wasted playing this...
3 - Gadgets.
I am one of the original gadget people. I'm the kind of person who reads those colour supplement inserts for useless pieces of junk and tat and thinks "That would be cool..." Oddly, though, despite having had an MP3 player for longer than it's been fashionable, I tend not to be into the high-end techie gadgets. (Just ignore the fact that I have a PDA and a very shiny new laptop!)
4 - Power Rangers.
It's a kid's show. It has so many plot holes it makes Swiss cheese look solid. And I've been interested and 'into' it since the very first episode. (How many fanbrats can say that?!!) I suppose part of what attracted me to it was the Dr Who factor (godawful special effects paired with dubious acting but an extremely interesting premise) and what's made me stick with it is that every time I think "Yeah, I'm done" they go and do something that makes me freshly hooked again. *cough*Time Force*cough*
5 - Buying DVDs.
Long time readers of this 'ere journal may have noticed that I watch really a lot of films. Heh. I *BUY* even more. At any given time, chances are I have about thirty films still shrink wrapped because I haven't gotten round to watching them. Every now and then, I have a DVD day and watch two or three in a row...and then buy five more! I may get to the bottom of the heap sometime. Eventually?
Annnnnnnd it just wouldn't be a meme without passing it on to other folks. So, tagging:
