Well, that was the weekend...
The hockey season is upon me again; I'm umpiring this coming weekend (at least one match, possibly two - and the definite one is a 10am push back in Burnham on Sea [for my international readership, that translates as something like an 8am start for me!!!]) while I actually got to run around and play on the Saturday just gone. Yep, I played outfield for the first time in two years and appart from pulling the obligatory muscles, I came out the otherside reasonably hale and hearty AND having got my name on the score sheet for the first time EVER!!! (OK, so it's probably going to be the last time, too...)
Then I spent virtually the whole of yesterday editing Shadow Games. I've now got twenty chapters more or less revamped. That's the good news. The bad news is that I'm still 29,000 words off my target.
Of course, coming up is the serious revamp of the final third of the book. As I'm fairly sure that's going to generate at least one new chapter, if not two, I'm not going to worry too heavily about it. (Not yet, anyway.)
For this week, I need to get a new installment of Without Love up (I'm working on that at the moment) and then I need to get much work done on Five by Five.
CBB'ers reading: I haven't forgotten about Francie or Dreams of the Sun; they're just a little bit on haitus while I get some other stuff sorted out. If I get really ahead with Five by Five, I hope to get Francie finished this week, but only if I get Five by Five done.
