weirdweb and estirose, though I'm only doing the shortened version:
Basically, it's set your mp3 player to random and write down your favorite phrase for each one. The challenge is for your readers to recognize what the lyrics come from.
1. You can grin but you can't hide/All the emptiness inside
2. Now I will tell you what I'm going to do
3. I thought I caught his whisper/later that same year
4. It wasn't the rain/that made a difference/I could have sworn it wasn't me
5. You walk up on the highwire/you're dancer in thin ice
6. I want to run/I want to hide/I want to tear down these walls/that hold me inside
7. It ain't karma/it ain't luck/me I just don't give a...
8. You're beautiful/you're cynical/you always make a scene
9. I'm not like all the other girls/that you used to know
10. Every single night the same arrangement/I go out and fight the fight
Hmmm. Mixed bag - which nicely reflects the pile of CDs I have here at work!
(oh, and hint: The current music selection is NOT reflected above - I'm listening to that because certain people on my friends' list have gotten me humming it...)
