Underwhelmed Doesn't Cover It...

As, I think, most folks reading this LJ know, I'm a Bon Jovi fan. A BIG Bon Jovi fan, in fact. To the point where I will risk being utterly crippled (I can't stand up for long periods of time) to see them in concert.

So when, last September, I saw that they were going to be touring here, I bought my ticket.

That was September.

The concert I'm going to is next Wednesday, in Coventry.

I only frelling GOT my ticket yesterday courtesy of the promoter not releasing the tickets. (At least, that was Ticketmaster's excuse.)

Inside was a leaflet about parking, informing me that I had to book it and that there would be no on-street parking. Well that's not exactly unusual for major concerts. So I rang the venue today, to try and book.

Guess what? They only take bookings BY FRELLING POST.

Yes.

You read that right.

I can only book my car parking space (and let's add at this point, there's a limited availablility) by physically sending the Ricoh Arena a cheque through the post for a concert on Wednesday.

I am very, very under-impressed, seeing as I specifically picked out Coventry as the venue to go to because it was going to be easier to get to/park in than London.

The thing that worries me is that they've specifically said there's no onstreet parking or residents parking only, which does make me wonder if they'll be looking at places like that shopping park.

Oh well. It'll sort itself out.

You can always tell your dad and sister to keep an eye out for me *grin*

PS Thanks for the suggestions though; knowing there IS parking of that sort in the general area makes me feel a little less nervous.
