Why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all.Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes office supplies."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

Okay, you asked for it. :-)

I'm 5'11". Last October, I weighed in at a whopping 153 kilos. Was told that my weight was starting to cause health problems, strangely enough also in the onset of menopause. Since then, I've rejoined Weight Watchers, and have lost 26 kilos so far; I'm hoping to get down to a healthier (and much more attractive, I hope) 99 kilos until my 50th birthday/Silver Wedding anniversary next June. After that ... we'll see.

And my son is getting close to taking his driver's test and will graduate High School next summer.

Enough for now? :)

Not by me - I've not read 'em either. I have seen the films, but not entirely through my own choice.

I'm telling everyone pretty much the same thing...because I'll run out of stuff to say otherwise!

I'm moving in two weeks (argh!!!)

I'm allergic to many strange things, including strawberries and dark chocolate.

Ow :( Though I'm with you on the dark chocolate - while I'm not allergic to it, I have discovered it's a migrane trigger for me.

Nope, and I know someone who goes through phases of actively disliking them (mostly cos her kids reread them to death)

My partner and I share the same birthday (18 April). After all this time I am still enamored with Highlander and the concept of immortality.

Okay... you asked for it ;)

I am:
- a klutz suffering from the foot-in-mouth disease
- sometimes talking to myself loudly
- addicted to musicals
- covered in freckles
- music-aholic (can't live without my portable disk player)
- untalented when it comes to using knifes and blades of any kind
- my office's queen of paper cuts and plaster
- a not too bad cook and baker ^_^
- not quite normal by society's standards

I like office supplies *g*

No, really. I get the Office Depot catalog and spend happy hours highlighting all those things I will need when I start the bookstore.

Um... by the time I could drink legally, I'd mostly lost interest in it.

I once learned how to play the melody to every song on Metallica's Master of Puppets album on my flute.

I have most of my books not only categorized and in place on the shelves, but listed by genre on Excel. One of the best things about getting new books is updating that list.

I am such a huge fucking dork.

*giggles* I'm with you on the stationary front - I'm such a paper slut! - and also with the drinking - by the time I'd reached the point at which I could drink in America, I'd realised that I couldn't hold my alcohol and ergo there was no point!

I drank more this weekend than I have since college-- two double Bailey's & milks, a shot of something blue that burned going down, and a couple of beers. The Bailey's caused no end of comment from the people sitting at the bar, not least because they were served in huge margarita glasses *g* But mostly, it was all because it tasted good and the conversation kept going, rather than to get wrecked, which was the point in my younger years.

*nod* I can drink to be social, but even then, it tends to be soft drinks. Because really? Getting legless off three beers is no fun whatsoever.

Um, hmm. What do you not already know?

Likes:

Science fiction. In my teens I read every sci-fi book in our local library. Old movies. New movies, if they're good. Reading, although now I tend to notice every flaw in the writing. Electronic gadgets of almost every kind.

Dislikes:

Sports, especially team sports. Being bored (which is what I am when I watch sports). The telephone. Noisy places. Meetings. Having my mind go entirely blank, the way it is right now.

Well, a little random, but that's all I can think of!
