More Card Woes...
Apr. 10th, 2005 06:33 pmWell, after having to cancel my credit card last month courtesy of some bunch of nutters who thought that stealing money out of my account was a good plan, I thought receiving the replacement card would be the end of my troubles.
*sigh*
I got charged today with a £20 non-payment fee. Why? Because they hadn't transferred the direct debit through which I pay my credit card bill from the old card to the new card (yet, they managed the balance transfer just fine). Grrrr. So I have just phoned up and after the obligatory bounce via India, I spoke to someone who was most appologetic in the credit card department who has refunded the late fee and made sure that the direct debit will be fine and happy for next month's bill.
I also have to phone the fraud department tomorrow because so far, no-one's actually looked into the fraudulent charges that started it all off in the first place. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
(And no, I didn't rip anyone a new one - though I was tempted. They managed to switch the balance over to the new card there and then, but the direct debit wasn't done until the 5th of April - too late for this month's payment. WTF?)
