Housework Bingo...

Taking a leaf out of b_liz's book...

Today I am going to attack all the jobs I've been putting off until a suitable occasion... So let's play housework bingo. I have a to do list with 70 things on it. Give me a number from 1 to 70 and I will do that task and report back.

And please do feel free to throw more than one number at me!

15 - sort through a pile of books
37 - go through my large backpack (incidentally finding a sheet of caffeine pills that was over four years out of date - needless to state, they've been ditched!)

44 is make some notes from a recorded TV program so I can delete the recording, which I'll be doing in just a moment

9 was suggested by someone else and is now down (it was sorting the contents of a desk drawer!)

46 - empty rubbish from car
which also brought a bonus of 47 (which was remove cat blanket from car [believe it or not, this is left over from moving house, eight months ago!])

What can I say? I'm being heavily motivated here!

2 - tidy cupboard top shelf
5 - put away laundry (all done bar the socks as I can't currently get into the sock drawer!)
9 was sort a desk drawer, which has already been done so I did 7 (closest not done) - tidy desk top
11 was ALSO sort a desk drawer and was ALSO done so I did 13 (closest not done) - sort out library book pile
23 - tidy top of music cabinet
45 is already pending so I did 42 (closest not done) - put MP3 player on to charge

70 is half an hour's weeding, which I will do after lunch

1 had already been done, so I did 4 instead - sort out cupboard floor
14 - sort out OU books
21 - sort out Body Shop bag
24 - fold fleece and put away (only half done as I've run out of room for bedding just at the moment. Need to sort that out - but I think that'll keep until tomorrow!)
30 - sort out filing, which also brought a bonus
54 - bring filing upstairs
34 - clean bathroom sink, which also brought a bonus
35 - wipe out bath
39 - tidy magazines out of the living room
48 - go to Morrisons (a reason why this update's taken this long!)
66 had already been done so I did 65 - put away camera case

Only 59's still pending and as I've now sat down for a bit of a break after weeding, I'm about to do that!

Following a suggestion further upthread, if I'd already done a number, I did the next closest not-done one, so...

6 - put up display case and fill with ornaments
27 - find a home for the spotlights
38 - empty rubbish out of small backpack (there was less rubbish in there than I was expecting!)
41 - charge up Nintendo DS
57 - half an hour's work on my current OU course (not sure it was exactly half an hour, but I got done what I wanted to get done, so...)
67 - clean kitchen sink

Only 17 still pending - and I'm about to tackle that.

25 - find homes for the boot/slipper heap
36 (substitute for 39) - clean and toilet duck the loo (it's now quacking nicely!)
40 (substitute for 42) - tidy out sewing basket

*laughs* To be fair, some of the tasks have been sit-down tasks, and I HAVE just spent an hour or so wrangling notes for OU, so it's not been ALL go.

That said, a large glass of baileys is probably in my future. Whether it's cross stitch or knitting I accompany it with, though, is still open for debate...
